Antique cabinet cards have always fascinated me. As a child, I would visit my great grandmother's house and meander around the beautiful antique vases, tassled doorways and ornate Victorian funiture before I would finally give in to the intrigue of her cabinet card photos, all of them calling to me from their perch. Whether old or young, the expressions of the people in these photos were stoic, unexpected and even scary to me.
